Jacob Blair Scott was taken into custody in Antlers, Oklahoma, a friend and relative of the alleged child victim first reported Thursday. According to locals, he was working as a maintenance man in an area trailer park, among other employment, under an alias.
January 29, 2020 the U.S. Marshals released a statement that they have now elevated the fugitive status of a Mississippi man, thus placing him on the 15 most wanted fugitives in the country list.
The U.S. Marshals have asked the public for any information that could lead to forty-three year old Jacob Blair Scott’s arrest.
He is facing a lengthy indictment that charges him with sexual battery, touching a child for lustful purposes, and exploitation of a child. The accusations arose when his fourteen year old stepdaughter became pregnant.
After failing to appear for a scheduled court hearing in the summer of 2018, detectives found his abandoned small boat floating off the coast of Orange Beach, Alabama. They searched it and found a gun, a suicide note, and contact information for Scott’s family, according to U.S. Marshals. A small quantity of blood was found in the boat.
Investigators did not find any conclusive evidence that indicated he had actually committed suicide.
Scott is described as a white male, 5’10,” 225 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes. He has tattoos of a machete, scorpion and a compass with feathers (pictured below)
The U.S. Marshals believe he is in Tennessee, Texas or Colorado based on numerous tips and sightings.
He is considered armed and dangerous.
